My Journey

With eight halves and most recently my second full marathon under my belt, I thought it was the ideal time to document my journey. I'm ready. I feel like I can say that I am a runner with pride.

I want to share what I have learned along the way and inspire those that never thought they could do it. It is possible.

Even when you Run With Hips.

On October 14, 2012, I walked up to Bobby and said to him…”I am going to run The Detroit Free Press Marathon.”, to which he replied,”Ooookaaay, that is exactly a week away.”. Mind you, I had never run a full marathon at that point and had not even begun to train for my first marathon, the Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon that following Spring. But I knew in my heart that I would be running in the Detroit Free Press 26.2 sooner than later and registered for it even before I ran my first full.

Fast forward to October 20th, 2013…I ran the Detroit Free Press Marathon for the first time(ridiculous grinning picture above).

I will be running it again on October 19, 2014. I share this with you because life is too short! Make the rest of your life, the BEST of your life! Say your dreams out loud and put it into the universe. You are worth it. Whatever your dream is, go for it. \0/
